It is in the books!! Another successful intensive kickoff to a new year. This year is dedicated to getting older. That’s right, I’m lean-ing into 60! These photos are the culmination of three months of focused exercise and nutrition. This year was a little more challenging than years past, but even more satisfying.
I started the year at 149 pounds and 11.4% body fat. But who’s counting, right? Now I am at 140 pounds and down to 8.5% body fat.
It’s just a beginning, but if you really want to get into better shape as you get older, then you’ve got to be honest with yourself. Is your current plan working? If it is, then more power to you. Keep on being the inspiration that you are to those around you. If not, then let’s talk about training. If you’re in Manhattan near the upper west side, I would be happy to work with you one-on-one.
If you live in another area, I would love to work with you online. Just reach out to me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can start creating your own 12 week fitness intensive that will transform your body, your health and your life.
We all know by now that abs are created in the kitchen, not the gym. So don’t over-do it this year living it up on stuffing and pie. Or if your like me, and you wait all year to eat pumpkin pie, then I say live it up for the holiday and get back on the plan right away! Oh yeah and try working out every day!
Ok Boot Campers, it’s time to rise and shine. We are starting up again on Sundays at noon. Our first day at Boot Camp is Sunday, May 7th. We will meet in Central Park on the West side (enter at 85th street) in the Arthur Ross Pinetum. For those who don’t know it, the Arthur Ross Pinetum is just West of The Great Lawn and just South of The Reservoir. That’s where the swings and pull up bars are located.
As always, bring water and a good attitude! We will run, jump and Tabata our way into Summer.
Each Boot Camp Baby session is $30. Purchase all 4 Sundays in May for $100.

On January 2nd My body fat percentage was 11.4 and I weighed 150.6 pounds.
Not bad for a 58 year old man, right?
12 Weeks later after many Tabata drills and a clean diet, I am pleased to say I have accomplished the mission!
March 31st. 8.5% body fat. 140.8 pounds.
I did not starve myself, on the contrary, I ate 3 to 4 meals every day and occasionally I squeezed in a fifth.
So, in three months I dropped nearly 10 pounds and decreased my body fat by nearly 3 percent.
I’d like to point out that to lose weight in a healthy way, requires a healthy lifestyle. That means taking the time to eat right and exercise regularly.
And it’s fun!
That’s it! There are no quick fixes or special tricks to being fit. It takes work and discipline.
It’s not for everybody. Thanks for watching.
